Arcadia juniper is an evergreen spreading shrub. It is usually grown as a groundcover.

It has a nice, uniform growth habit, reaching 18-24 inches tall at maturity. Arcadia juniper has a dark, grass-green color throughout the year.

Its stiff branches extend at a 45 degree angle from the ground and have a layered look. Its branching habit makes it a thick, low water groundcover.

This shrub has been growing very well for many years at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. It performs well with no damage by insects or disease. Its year-round green color is valuable when most other plants dormant.

Junipers require little water or fertilizer after establishment. Winter watering is recommended to help prevent winter dehydration.
