These plants were massed in the low water zone at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. The area has since been renovated and the plants removed. The flowers were usually fair because the plants were not divided as often as they should have been. There were no insect or disease pests or any winter injury.

Removing the spent flowers encourages encourages continual flower production throughout the summer. Divide every three or four years to promote vigorous growth since it dies out in the center as it ages.
