Dragon's blood sedum is a popular groundcover. It is best known for its succulent, dark green leaves with red edges.
In mid-summer, it grows clusters of deep crimson-colored flowers, raised slightly above the leaves. In fall, the leaves turn red.
This popular plant grows easily in the Pikes Peak area. It has grown moderately well at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden.
