Dwarf creeping thyme is a very small plant. Growing just slightly above ground level, it is a tight mat of very tiny, dark green leaves.Pink flowers appear sporadically in early summer and continue throughout the growing season.

Because of its small size it does not make an effective groundcover unless multiple plants are installed. It is a good choice for rock gardens and around flagstone steps.

Dwarf creeping thyme has grown successfully at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden for many years. One of the lowest growing plants, it is notable for its tiny size. Our patch requires regular hand weeding.

None generally needed, but weeds may need to be removed between plants.
