Lavender Ice iceplant is a beautiful succulent groundcover with iridescent lavender flowers in early summer. The leaves are a bit longer than most of the other iceplants, but grow in a nice, uniform clump. The flowers are a gorgeous light, shiny purple.

Lavender Ice iceplant has been growing at the Xeriscape Garden for several years. It overwinters well. The flowers are beautiful when in bloom. This cultivar doesn't spread as vigorously as Table Mountain iceplant or yellow iceplant, but is worth planting where a smaller patch of iceplant is desired.

No maintenance is required, except raking debris off the plant as needed. Be sure to plant this in an area with excellent drainage and pea gravel mulch. Some iceplants perform poorly in wood or bark mulch.
