Marieke daffodil is a beautiful yellow daffodil. It has an upward facing flower with vivid, bright petals and a darker yellow trumpet. The sturdy plants remain upright during spring storms. A mid-season bloomer, it is striking in mass plantings.

Marieke daffodil is one of the best yellow daffodils grown at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. Its bright yellow color and upright flowers make it a great spring bloomer. The flowers occasionally get damaged by late spring frosts, but we highly recommended it anyway.

Remove the spent flower stalks after the blooms fade. Let the leaves remain until they turn brown and shrivel, separating from the ground with a gentle pull. Removing the leaves too early will reduce flowering the following year.
