Rose glow barberry is a medium sized shrub with reddish-purple leaves. It is grown for its leaf color, which changes throughout the growing season. The small oval leaves on new growth are rose-pink marbled with darker burgundy, eventually deepening to a deep reddish purple.

The branches are armed with sharp spiney thorns. The pale yellow flowers are small and hidden under the leaves, and are hardly noticeable at all. Rose glow barberry is a beautiful shrub and resistant to deer browsing.

Usually doesn't require pruning. Prune out dead branches as needed.
