Silver fountain butterfly bush is a large, elegant, vase-shaped shrub covered with small silver leaves. Purple flowers appear in clusters over a long period in spring. Unlike most butterfly bushes, silver fountain will not die to the ground each winter. This plant is very tolerant of Colorado's erratic weather and attracts butterflies when in bloom.

There is a beautiful silver fountain butterfly bush at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. It is an attractive large shrub that has tolerated drought conditions extremely well. It is stunning when in bloom.
