Tam juniper is a spreading evergreen shrub. It gets taller than other groundcover junipers, reaching 3 feet tall when mature.

Its branches spread horizontally, layering on top one another. Tam juniper has an attractive, medium green color.

It can be a great choice for Colorado Springs landscapes if it has enough room to spread.

Tam juniper has been growing at the Xeriscape Garden for many years. It has a nice green color and is free from any problems. It makes a nice, easy-care evergreen shrub.

Tam junipers require little water or maintenance after establishment. Watering once per month during the winter will help prevent dehydration.

Plant it in an area where it will be able to spread without covering pathways or sidewalks.
