Waldbrunn spruce is a dwarf evergreen shrub. It is grown for its light blue-colored needles and small, round shape. This slow-growing spruce has a compact, nest-like structure with horizontal branches that grow 2-4 inches per year.

It may have limited availability at plant nurseries.

There is one Waldbrunn spruce growing at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. It is a beautiful little plant with a nice blue color and slow growth rate. We highly recommended this dwarf evergreen where a low, colorful sphere is desired.

No maintenance required under normal conditions. Needs regular soil moisture to become established. New growth and young plants can be susceptible to deer browsing.
